Meanwhile, singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya was seen defending his friend Udit on the entire incident.

In the video, it can be seen that a female fan comes near the stage and tries to click a selfie with him and as soon as she tries to kiss him on the cheek, Udit Narayan kisses her on the lips. After this incident, people on social media gave strong reactions to this behavior of Udit Narayan. Many netizens termed it as disgusting behavior and criticized it.
Abhijeet defended Udit
However, amid this controversy, singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya defended Udit Narayan by sharing his experience. Abhijeet Bhattacharya reacted to this matter and said that this is a common incident that happens with singers. He told News18 Showsha, "Udit Narayan is a superstar singer. Such incidents happen to us every day. If we are not surrounded by proper security, people can even tear our clothes."
Shared an old story
Abhijeet also recalled an old incident that happened to him when a fan kissed him on the cheek on stage during a concert in South Africa. He said, "When I was new in the industry, during a concert in South Africa, some girls kissed me so hard on my cheeks that I was not able to stand on stage. All this happened in front of Lata Mangeshkar ji. There were lipstick marks on my cheeks."

Abhijeet further said that Udit's wife Deepa Gahtraj also goes with him sometimes. Defending Udit, she said, "He is Udit Narayan! Girls were after him. He did not attract anyone. I think whenever Udit performs, his wife is with him as a co-singer. Let him enjoy his success! He is a romantic singer."
