People had high hopes for Ajay Devgan's film 'Thank God', which hit the theaters on the second day of Diwali. The Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh starrer registered a slow opening at the box office on the very first day, defeating the expectations of the audience. Ajay Devgan's 'Thank God' performed slightly better than Akshay Kumar's 'Ram Setu'. But still, the film did not show the amazing which was expected. After a sluggish start on an opening day, now the initial figures of the first Wednesday of 'Thank God' i.e. the second day's earnings have also come out, which is even more shocking. Directed by Indra Kumar, the film was mired in controversies from the day the trailer came out. But despite this, it was expected that October 25 is going to be very special for the box office. But it could not happen. Ajay Devgn's film barely touched 10 percent of its cost on Opening Day, which is very disappointing. According to the figures revealed on the first day's earnings, this film, made on a budget of about Rs 70 crore, had earned an average. The film earned just Rs 8.1 crore on its opening day.

Made with a budget of 70 crores, where the film did not perform well on the first day, and on the second day there has been a 25 percent drop in the earnings of 'Thank God'. According to the initial figures, the film has done business for only Rs 6 crore on the second day. However, changes can be seen in the figures till this morning. After earning two days, the total collection of 'Thank God' has gone up to Rs 14.10 crore.

Talking about the story of the film, the story of 'Thank God' revolves around a common man who runs a real estate business. Ayan Kapoor is a successful businessman, but he believes more in black money. Siddharth Malhotra is playing this character. In the film, Rakul Preet Singh is playing the character of Ayan's wife Roohi, who is an honest police officer. One day Ayan gets into an accident, and only after that is Ajay Devgan's entry. He is playing the character of Chitragupta. The direction of the film is in the hands of Indra Kumar.
