Why did Jyotika play the role of mother?
Recently, in an interview, Jyotika opened up about playing the role of a mother in Shaitan and Jyotika said, "There are a lot of scenes in the film that highlight motherhood, and I don't know whether I wanted to play them or No, but one of the very important one was the reason, after which I said yes to this film. That reason was that this film teaches every parent that they have to take care of their daughter and how much responsibilities After that we give children a safe environment."

He further explained how the film instills a sense of responsibility to always protect children. The actress said, "I think, as a mother, I felt that emotion and responsibility in this film from the beginning to the end. Every parent in the world will be able to connect with this film because of the journey of children's lives. They are very delicate and we need to support them at every step."

Shaitan directed by Vikas Bahl is the Hindi remake of the much-loved Gujarati film Vash. It stars Ajay Devgan, Jyotika, R Madhavan, and Janaki Bodiwala in lead roles. Backed by Jio Studios, Devgan Films, and Panorama Studios, the film is produced by Ajay Devgan, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak.
