The magic of the film went so far across the world that Mani Ratnam's film has broken the record of Rajinikanth's '2.0'.

Records were broken at the US box office

Ponniyin Selvan 1 is doing decent business at the US box office. The third highest-grossing film of the year 2022 has overtaken Rajinikanth's blockbuster '2.0'. Let us tell you that the film starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar held the record for the highest-grossing Tamil film in America. Now Mani Ratnam's film has broken this record. The film collected $5,564,305 at the US box office.

Earned so much on the tenth day

On Saturday, where the film did a great job, increasing as compared to the previous days. So there has been a jump in the film's earnings on Sunday as well. According to the initial figures revealed, the film earned around 16 crores on its second Sunday across the country, taking full advantage of the holiday.

When will PS-2 come?

According to media reports, the shooting of 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' was also completed during the shooting of 'Ponniyin Selvan 1'. In such a situation, the makers are planning to release 'PS2' soon. At the same time, it is believed that 'PS2' can be released in the summer of next year, the date of which will be decided by the makers in the coming few weeks. The makers are currently evaluating the post-production schedule of 'PS 2'.
