It was rumored for the past several months that Kangana Ranaut will contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, and now her father has shared a big update about the same. According to media reports, Kangana Ranaut's father Amardeep has confirmed that the actress will contest the Lok Sabha elections next year on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. Amardeep Ranaut said in a recent interview that Kangana will contest the elections on BJP ticket only.

At the same time, Kangana Ranaut's father also made it clear that the party will decide from where she will contest the elections. On Sunday, Kangana Ranaut held a meeting with BJP national president JP Nadda at her residence in Shastri Nagar, Kullu. Since then, speculations about Kangana contesting elections from BJP intensified.

However, now her father has made it clear that she will contest elections next year. Kangana Ranaut has been vocal in praising PM Narendra Modi, and her recent social media activities have hinted to netizens about her participation in the Lok Sabha elections.

On the work front, Kangana was last seen in the aerial action film 'Tejas'. The film failed at the box office. She will next be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her directorial venture 'Emergency'. The film was initially scheduled to release in November 2023 but has been pushed to 2024. 'Emergency' also stars Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, late Satish Kaushik, and Mahima Chaudhary in lead roles.
