One of the most awaited films of this year 'Kalki 2898 AD' has been released today. The rapid sale of tickets of the film before its release had created a great buzz for it. In such a situation, it has to be seen how many crores of rupees the film will be able to collect at the box office. Many actors including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, and Shobhana have acted in this film.
In 'Kalki 2898 AD', Amitabh Bachchan is playing the role of Ashwatthama, a mythological character from Mahabharata. This is not the first time that Amitabh is working on a film inspired by mythology. He has done this before as well. He gave his voice in the mythological short film 'Arasuri Maa Ambe'. This is a 3D film, which shows the famous Ambaji temple. This temple is located on the border of Gujarat and Rajasthan and every year a crowd of devotees come to visit it. Tarun Khanna, who acted in the TV show 'Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev', has also worked on this film.
Amitabh Bachchan gave his voice to the mythological character Bhishma in the animated film 'Mahabharata' released in 2013. This film was directed by Aman Khan. Ajay Devgan, Vidya Balan, Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, and Shatrughan Sinha also gave their voices to it.
Director Ayan Mukherjee's film 'Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva' is also said to be influenced by Hindu mythology. In this film, the story of a character named Shiva is seen, who has the power to control fire. Amitabh Bachchan has played the role of Guru Arvind in the film.
