Actor Siddhant Karnik, who played a supporting role in Animal, recently revealed that Vanga was once short of Rs 1 crore 60 lakh during the production of a film. Then his family sold 36 acres of their land for his film.
Karnik further said that Vanga started his career as an assistant, but was not able to get a chance as a director, after which he formed a company with friends but just a month before the filming, his financier backed out. Moved away.
Karnik further said that his brother Pranay had come from America. He did an IT job there, left his family there, and came here to help his brother make films. They all came together, invested the money, and made Arjun Reddy. It became a hit. Karnik further said that while Vanga's second film with Shahid Kapoor was a huge earner, the third film with Ranbir Kapoor crossed the Rs 800 crore mark. Her next film is with Prabhas.
