Sanjay Gupta wanted to narrate the script of this film.

Recently, in a podcast, Sanjay Gupta recalled the time when he met Big B to narrate the script of 'Kaante'. However, the director also said that Big B was not his first choice for the film. He wanted to cast Naseeruddin Shah in this film, but when the film was offered to Sanjay Dutt, he advised him to narrate it to Amitabh Bachchan. After this, the director decided to meet the actor.

The director was nervous about meeting Amitabh.

Sanjay Gupta further said that he took time from Big B to fix a meeting and reached his house. The director said, "I had fixed a meeting at 11 o'clock that day. I was very nervous when I reached his house, two guards came and told me that they would park the car. After this, I went to the second floor, where I got to see very decorated rooms."

Big B is fond of speakers and gramophones.

The director further said, that as soon as I reached the room, I saw big speakers and gramophones, which cost at least Rs 50-60 lakh. I knew that Big B was interested in very high-tech sound systems. After this, there was a mug on his table, in which there were 25 to 30 pens and all of them were of Mont Blanc designer.

Sanjay Gupta was excited.

Sharing his excitement, Sanjay Gupta said that at that time it came to his mind that one day he would tell this story to his grandchildren. Big B also liked the story of the film very much.
