Biography: He began his career by working with Kalaimani. It was S. J. Suriyah who recommended Murugadoss to Ajith for making his a director. He made his directorial debut with Dheena in 2001. In 2005 his third film Ghajini was one of the biggest blockbusters that gained him recognition as a director. In 2008, he made his debut in Bollywood with Ghajini starring Aamir Khan (which was the remake of his Ghajini) which broke all the records to become the highest grossing Hindi film. His second Bollywood film is Holiday, also a remake of his own blockbuster Thuppakki.
